Brie and Fig Bruschetta


Create a sweetly elegant appetizer with this recipe including melted Brie, figs, walnuts and Girard’s® White Balsamic Vinaigrette (or Girard’s® Champagne Dressing) on French bread.

Directions
Step 1:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Split baguette lengthwise, place cut-side-up on baking tray and brush with olive oil. Toast bread for 6 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden around edges. Set aside.

Step 2:

Arrange walnuts on a small baking tray and toast 4 to 5 minutes or until light golden. Cool, chop and set aside.

Step 3:

Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl, combine figs, apple and Girard’s® White Balsamic Vinaigrette (or Girard’s® Champagne Dressing).

Step 4:

To assemble bruschetta, spread each bread half with Brie cheese and return to oven for 3 to 5 minutes or until Brie begins to melt and is warm. Remove from oven.

Step 5:

Spoon fig mixture over melted Brie, sprinkle with toasted walnuts and serve.
